Description:

The Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor is primarily responsible for coordinating activities from the production department and directing warehousing/shipping for the organization. This position reports to the Operations Manager/Director of Operations. This role requires an intense focus on prioritization of product scheduling to meet customer needs and ensure consistent, superior service to BHC customers.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory count current

• Review production schedules to determine product availability, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled ship dates

• Ability to compile, store, and retrieve accurate data and input into NetSuite database

• Improve procedures to ensure teams provide products in a timely, cost effective and quality manner

• Prepare and plan work assignments and equipment allocations to meet transportation, operations, or production goals and direct workers accordingly

• Maintain and verify records of time, materials, expenditures, and crew activities

• Communicate transportation, shipping orders, safety regulations, and company policies to team

• Confers with Manager regarding coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, inventory control, purchasing, customer service etc.

• Follows standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance

• Responsible for routinely providing direct feedback of team including corrective action (as necessary), defining and establishing clear objectives and expectations and performance evaluation with assistance from HR

• Performs other duties as requested from leaders


Required Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of MS Office – Outlook and Excel

• Experience with bar code scanning, counts, picking, warehouse management systems

• High school diploma/GED and 3 to 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Must speak, read/write and understand English

• Experience working in a supervisor role in Manufacturing Environment is required

• Ability to record, report and analyze reliable data, experience with NetSuite database a plus

• Working experience with manufacturing order fulfillment and inventory planning preferred

• Strong time management and scheduling skills

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, be on-call and (minimal) travel as necessary

• Willingness to be very hands-on and detail oriented
