The Sales Support Specialist supports our Sales Director and team in planning and developing effective sales strategies. The ideal candidate would be an analytical sales professional who is able to work in a fast-paced environment and is familiar with transactions and customer support. Some overall responsibilities in the position are as follows:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Director to plan and develop sales strategies and departmental targets and goals
  • Provide key customer support; help coordinate activities between customers, sales, customer care, production and shipping
  • Coordinate sales promotions process; validate proper charges; partner with accounting regarding crediting; filling claims and following with customer contacts
  • Ability to present data and assess level of success for sales initiatives, reports and projects
  • Partner with Customer Care and Accounting teams regarding new customer/new item onboarding, customer compliance and customer rebate
  • Review and administer sales commission and customer rebate reporting; run reports, calculate liability, submit to Director for approval, and forward appropriate documentation to accounting/payroll for payment processing
  • Monitor and analyze information on competition and market trends; communicate information o sales associates and others as needed
  • Recommend and implement training programs for sales reps and team to improve their work efficiency
  • Perform administrative tasks of transaction recording, filing, and inventory, database management, etc.
  • Attends and participates in business/trade events as required
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned by Director

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and four years’ experience in sales and manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), NetSuite a plus
  • Strong business and analysis experience
  • Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
  • Travel Requirement: position will work in the corporate office and travel to customer sites for presentations and/ or attend company sales tradeshows
  • Demonstrate a high attention to details and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Well organized and have strong communication (written and verbal), time management, and customer service skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees within the organization
